Is Karon beach a quiet beach, is there any nightlife at Karon beach, are there cheap hotels right on the beach at Karon.

Do remember that from after Thai New Year in mid April the rates tend to come down a great deal for Karon Beach and all Phuket, so going in early May is a good time, although it is termed the start of the low season the weather is better than say June to September so you can if you are happy to chance the weather get some great deals on hotels in early May.

We stayed at the South Sea resort in Karon, thanks everyone for those tips for the rates, everything was fine and we got a good deal.

Karon Beach is a lot quieter at the moment, the weather is better now, but relaxing during the low season and plenty of hotel rooms available if you get local price deals

Low season hotel rates for Phuket star, depending on the hotel or resort, around late April or May, there are as always plenty of cheap low season hotel bargains on Phuket during the low / green season

Do be sure to check the most recent rates as there are special discount rates and special hotel promotions available through December and January at many hotels

There are some new hotels but it is often a good idea to go to as hotel that is well known with good reviews.

You can often find very cheap rates at the last minute but of course you will not have so much choice, is you are not too fussy then you can find some very good offers

There are hotels along the beach road in Karon and there are also those that go along Patak Road which is quite a way from the beach and the beach road so take care when booking.
There are so many good hotels in all price ranges along the beach road there is not much point or reson to be stuck a long way from the beach, either a very long walk or having to take a pricey tuk tuk ride.
I wouyld stick with the places along the beach road

Look for the cheap deals that will start soon, rates are very low this year

There are also places to stay including guesthouses and small hotels on the road that runs behind Karon beach that heads towards Rawai and Chalong, it varies up to a couple of km from the beach so again, do check the location maps and know where you are planning to stay.
