There is a good range of Cha Am beach hotels and beach resorts. Do note that many of the Cha am beach hotels and resorts are between Cha Am and Hua Hin, these are right on the beach.

Then there are other Cha Am hotels and accommodation that are in the part of Cha Am that is on the beach near Cha Am Town. These hotels are across the road from the very busy beach, weel, although often quiet during the week very busy at weekends, so do check the location of the hotel or resort. You can read the reviews there.
Those on the beach between Cha Am and Hua hin are, being at the beach, a long way from the main road between the 2 towns.

Cha Am hotels like the Springfield Cha Am and Novotel Tipviman are large high rise hotels, but you get nice views from the high floors, others like Dusit and Regent are mid rise, there are also smaller places like Veranda and the casa Papaya Cha Am and other Cha Am hotels on or near the beach. Most have good reviews.

Just to mention that the Cha Am Novotel Tipviman used to be called the Golden Sands and a lot of information is still listed by the old name, so you may find many of the reviews would be for Golden Sands Cha Am and maybe not listed as reviews for the Novotel Tipvaman.

Some of the Cha Am hotels are along the beach road in the beach area of the town but many of the resorts such as Novotel, Springfield, Regent Cha Am, Dusit Cha Am etc are on the beaches between Cha Am and Hua Hin. So you may see reviews for Cha Am hotels under other listings for the Hua hin area that include Cha Am.

There are also some small hotels and also some new small boutique places open around Cha Am.

Cha Am is right next to Hua Hin, you can stay in Cha Am and alos visit Hua Hin, 40 minutes from Cha Am are the amazing temples in the Phetchburi area, 50 minutes from Cha Am is the jungle style Krachan National Park, just 30 minutes osuth of Hua Hin is the Sam Roi Yot National Park, there are also many beaches around Hua Hin, is is a lovely coastline, even Pineapple plantations, farms and villages, birdwatching wetlands, rivers and waterfalls, a very nice place to visit for a more natural Thailand but also you have the good hotels, restaurants, night markets, shopping, Thai boxing and entertainment in Hua Hin.

Cha Am is easy to get to from Bangkok and is cheap to stay and also for eating out and shopping, it is not as over crowded as many other beach places and that is what appeals to many. Very popular for weekend beach trips for people who live in Bangkok.

Cha Am does get very busy at weekends throughout the year so if your visit covers any weekends you really need to book well in advance.

Found you can compare the hotel rates also for Cha Am Thailand, the Sawadee were good rates and also the best choice of hotels and other places to stay - Hotels in Cha Am Thailand discount rates but you can look at hotels2thailand and Ido24 also there, but I found the Sawadee the best of those and they recommend them
