There is also another Novotel about 25 minutes from the airport, the Novotel Bangna.

The Novotel at the new Bangkok Airport is connected to the terminal, that makes it easy for an overnight stop, the Novotel also has rooms for blocks of hours to freshen up between flights. and also they have day room use which is quite good between 8 am and 6 pm. Bangkok Airport Hotels has all the details and also which hotels offer free transport between the airport terminal and the airport hotels in Bangkok.

There are some other cheaper hotels aropund the area but you will need to take a taxi from the Bangkok airport to those hotels and also back from those hotels to the airport. Try Bangkok Airport Hotels for those other places and the main Novotel hotel at the NEW airport itself.
be sure your hotel is at or new the NEW AIRPORT and not the old one !! |

| I read recently that many hotels in downtown Bangkok may be within about 30 minutes of the new airport. |

| yes that is correct, I think a hotel at the airport though is good if you are on a flight arriving very late or you have an early morning flight from Bangkok Airport and want a hotel near or at the airport. |

| Look at the website Brett gave for the new Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport, if you then go to the other postings on the forum you will see informations about hotels at the Old Airport which is called Don Muang Airport. That has details of the hotels at the old airport, which of course is now also being used for many domestic flights. |

| Check with those websites as more hotels have opened so more accommodation available, also look for the low season rates that start from around April onwards. |

Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel near Bangkok Airport
Ideally located in Bangna district, Dusit Princess Srinakarin is just 20 minutes from both Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the centre of Bangkok, 15 minutes from the Bangkok Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) , mere minutes from the Industrial and Service Offices of international corporations in the area and right next to Seacon Square Shopping Complex. |
