| There are many reviews for Hua hin available, be sure you see where people were staying and how they spent their time, reviews can be so different from one person to another. Hua hin offers local charm and plenty of things to do if you get out and about and see the surrounding area. There are elephant rides and treks into the jungle and mountains, there are even now vineyards in the area outside of Hua hin. Pineapple plantations are south of the town and offer tours. There are small fishing villages and beaches south of Hua Hin town area also. |

There was a very good article in a local magazine last weekend about Hua Hin and it showed a lot of small boutique resorts and some very nice restaurants, we really did not move much from the Hyatt when we went and then when at the Anantasilla we stayed in the area as it was so nice, the review in the article was very positive and they said it was also cheap and had a very natural Thai feel which is what I would say also.
Although there are plenty of tourists and visitors you did not feel you were in a place 'made for tourists' which we liked, we managed to see the local life too and I do not to eat at local food places as well as nice restaurants, even sitting at a local thatched roadside bar is a pleasant change !
Taking a walk on a moonlit beach was also lovely without noice or hoards of people, very laid back and relaxing, we loved it. |

This is quite a good introduction to Hua hin, note that the distances are not correct, Hua hin is 180 km / 110 miles by road from Central Bangkok

Hua Hin is about 180 km ( 120 miles ) south of Bangkok and getting to Hua hin is easy by bus ( about 3 and a half hours ) or by taxi or limousine in about 2 and a half hours. There are also frequent trains though they take over 4 hours for the journey. There are beaches both close to the town in Hua Hin and also north in the Cha Am area. There are also beaches south of Hua Hin including Pranburi.
Hua Hin Hotels include small hotels, large hotels and beach resorts. You can find discount rates for a large choice of Hua Hin hotels and also see the reviews and the maps to show where the hotels are located with Hua Hin Hotels Discount Rates Rates and information. There are activities and attrations in Hua Hin in addition to the beaches.
The town is busy for shopping and restaurants. The night markest in Hua hin are popular, there are also places to watch Thai Boxing and also a few Thai shows to see in Hua Hin. The beach at Takiab is very popular in particular at weekends when people enjoy beach sports and water sports and also the beach restaurants and bars.
Many Hua Hin hotels are right on the beach, the Hilton, Sofitel, Anantara, Sheraton, Hyatt Regency, Wora Bura, Dusit Thani and many other fine Hua Hin hotels and beach resorts. |
