If you have enough time overnight between flights you can also get to hotels in downtown Bangkok

There are some new places open, rates are very good at airport hotels compared to airport hotels in many other cities around the world, and Bangkok has plenty of them, lots of choices.

Note that from October 1st Air Asia will be operating to / from Don Muang Airport ( code DMK ) , that top link by Brett has hotels at both BKK Suvarnabhumi and also Don Muang DMK
