I have recently seen a lot more information about Hua Hin Thailand in the travel magazines and the reviews were good

I have not heard much at all about Hua Hin, it does look quite interesting though.

The Intercontinental Hotel Hua Hin opens sometime during 2009, we will let you know what we hear of the opening date but if anyone finds out when it is going to open please post, thanks.

Intercontinental Hua Hin won't be open until later in the year

There are rates now available for 2010 on many sites, Asiaoz has rates for most hotels through to October 2010

It is very easy to get from Bangkok Airport to Cha Am and Hua Hin by taxi.
From Bangkok city also express buses, and in the case of Hua Hin and Cha Am area also by train.

By taxi:

Cha Am: 2 hrs
Hua Hin: 2 hrs 20-30 on average

Buses take about 30 minutes longer

Train to Hua Hin varies from 3 hrs to 4 hrs 15 depending on the train

Hua Hin Hotels are located in the busy town area from where you can walk through the town to the beach, or they are either north or south of the centre of Hua Hin. Lists for Hua Hin hotels usualy also include those around Cha Am which is about 20 minutes north of Hua Hin, Khao Takiab beach is just south of the centre and is easy to get to and from town but provides a more relaxing experience. Hotels listed around Pak nam Pran and Pranburi are 30-40 minutes south of Hua Hin. If you want to play Golf you can also find details for Golf Courses in Cha Am and the Hua Hin Golf Course Hotels with details for the Golf courses and those courses with resorts or hotels.
