The kata Thani is a top class beach resort, there are lots of different standards of rooms although all the rooms are good anyway, the suites are quite reasonable in price, it's a great beach resort.

I sometimes worry about recommending hotels to friends but in the case of the Kata Thani resort I never worry, we have stayed twice and friends who have visited agree the Kata Thani is a great place to stay on Phuket.

Am I correct that the Katathani or Kata Thani ( not sure which is the way to spell the name ) is at the more south of the 2 kata beaches, is that right ?

Yes you are right, it is over the hill down to where the kata Thani is situated on the beach, it is also wriiten as Katathani so don't worry about that, it you look at the first post you can see the website and look at the location on the map and see the photos of the Kata Thani and other details.

I know friends who stayed at the Katathani, it is a very good resort, one of the best on Phuket
