You need to look for the deals in particular this year for Europe with the exchange rates. Lufthansa have some Spring and Summer deals, it is worth looking at Lufthansa for airfares, also try Air France or KLM

If you get quality accommodation with good facilities and good service then it is often worth it, but of course you can find cheaper accommodation, you can compare different places on Planeurope and it shows places from several like Hotelclub, World Choice and also venere so you can compare different resorts and hotels.
