Josh and I went on a little photoshoot tonight. Had the 60D handy and just mounted my new wheels/tires.
Couldn't get the damn haze off the lens, it was humid as damnit.
wheel/tire setup: 15x9 949racing 6ULs w/ 225/45/15 RS3s
Only -1.7 to -1.8 camber and I need a tad more.
Dramatic lighting everywhere!
The Prelude looking pretty
I really like this one Josh took.
My favorite shot.
The lude!
How many 949s do you see!
Really needed to wash my car, but oh well. Haven't done a "photo-shoot" in.......... well I never have until now, lol. _________________ 94R' - DD

Plans to lower it ?
That's honestly one of the better looking early-body-style Miatae I've seen. Big +1 on the wheels too. _________________

Aww, what happened to those other wheels?
But damn, 225 rubber on all 4 corners? That sucker must grip. _________________ Calendar of local-ish events

Thanks, it's the prettiest car I've owned I'm selling some parts off the 97 and a few other things to buy some XIDA Clusports(AST shocks). Planning on playing around with Joey in STR for the next while.
It does grip quite well. The big RB hollow race front sway helps over my old FM solid. This wheel/tire setup has more grip than a set of 205 R888s on a 15x7 though.
The other wheels are my DD wheels _________________ 94R' - DD

What's the advantage of a hollow bar up front? I always thought RWD cars wanted stiffer front bars? _________________ Calendar of local-ish events

A hollow bar is stiffer than a solid. The one I have in particular has a thicker wall, making it even stiffer. _________________ 94R' - DD

A hollow bar is not as rigid as a similar diameter solid bar of the same material.
However, depending on diameter and wall thickness, you can get a hollow bar that is stiffer than a smaller diameter solid bar and weighs a lot less.
The long version (because I wanted to make sure I wasn't retarded):

The difference is negligible, though, as I understand it. Not enough load to exacerbate the difference.
Isn't the RB a larger diameter? |

Yeah, main difference is the Racing Beat hollow is A LOT bigger, sorry.
ninja edit: The RB hollow is stiffer than the FM solid ! _________________ 94R' - DD

Ah, I guess torque stress is more important for a sway bar than linear stress along the axis of the bar... makes sense.
You could also fill the hollow area with helium. _________________ Calendar of local-ish events
