Rich was way sideways in some of those shots. I think that one corner he must have thought it was a drift fest.

The Bimmer loves to be sideways especially if you are on the power too early.

Those are some awesome photos from that link! Glad you two had fun... I should do one of these, at some point. Like after I rob a bank. Twisted Evil

Including gas to and from FL (not insignificant), I think I got out for less than $900 for the experience...including the "buy-in" which basically meant I could drive a car I didn't work on prepping and didn't have to worry about breaking (aside from not wanting to bone my teammates). If We'd lasted the whole time, I'd have probably had 2+ hours in the car on a team of 6 drivers. Which would make it only a slightly expensive track weekend.

Take out the 12 hour "commute" including a hotel stay, and It've been more like $700. I'm pretty sure you aren't going to go racing for less than that anywhere.

I'm sure you can find a coupon somewhere Razz

Laughing I can damn well try! Twisted Evil

Yeah, I know it's cheap (not counting the racing suit and all that stuff) racing... It's on my to-do list, that's for sure.

Rich will rent you a seat Marcus I'm sure. He doesn't care who drives. And we much prefer people we know to race with us though we allow anybody. Just get on the list.

I wouldn't doubt it... I'll have to play the $$$$ thing by ear for a bit. And shop around for gear... Damn, it'd be a blast! Very Happy

just make sure a coolshirt is in there as well. you'll be spoiled right from the start. You know if Karl is using a coolshirt its worth it. He's a complete cheap ass like you Marcus.

Yeah, you make a good point. I already had everything save for socks and shoes from just picking stuff up I knew I'd need as I went along. We passed a couple of HANS around within the team, so I only had to buy the posts and drill holes in my helmet.

I've sat at the start line long enough in AX in 90*+ weather to picture how much it sucks... Don't need to tell me twice about one of those! Razz
